LEAD PASTOR/GROWTH COORDINATOR
Ron is originally from Florida but has spent the bulk of his life in the Carolinas. He went to Furman University for his undergrad work and Asbury Theological Seminary for his Masters in Divinity.
He is married to Megan, an art teacher in Forsyth County Schools. They have two teenage daughters, McKenna and Molly. Ron loves reading, hiking, camping, biking, backpacking and basically anything having to do with the outdoors. He also loves meeting new people and having deep conversations about God, philosophy, and the origins of Gleek, the super twins space monkey from the 80’s hit show “Superfriends.”
He is generally clueless about all things regarding sports, but the G3 community has hope that one day this will change. Ron believes that following Jesus gives shape and meaning to every aspect of life. Because of this, he has committed his life to inviting others to join him in this journey.
Ron oversees G3’s Grow ministries (Growth Groups, children and youth ministries).

ASSISTANT GO COORDINATOR
Cheryl moved to North Carolina in 1985. After serving many years in a variety of volunteer ministries she began answering a call to ordained ministry in 2004, graduating from UNC-Greensboro with a BA in Public Health (2007) and Asbury Theological Seminary with a MA in Christian Leadership (2009). She is a Provisional Deacon in the Western NC United Methodist Conference and also serves as the Executive Director of Yadkin Christian Ministries
food and crisis center in Yadkinville and East Bend NC.
Married in 1978, Pete and Cheryl enjoy grand-parenting and spending as much time as possible with family and friends! They love Steeler and Panther football, cookouts, books, games, biking, fishing, hiking, beach & mountain trips!
Cheryl loves to serve and help others. Her favorite verse is John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(NIV) She learned this verse as a child and as an adult it has come to mean even more. The word ‘whoever’ speaks to her of all those we see in our community and world day to day. She seeks to serve the ‘least and the lost’ and engage others to come alongside.
Cheryl oversees G3’s Go ministries (Meadowlark Meals, Center of Hope, outreach opportunities).
Chris McAuliffe is 22 years old and recently moved to Winston-Salem all the way from San Diego, California. He is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Wake Forest School of Divinity and studied Religious Studies as an undergrad at the University of Redlands. He enjoys playing video games, intramural sports, goofing around, and rooting for Boston sports teams (apologies in advance to all who may not take kindly to that...). Chris is super excited to be at G3 and is having a blast with the Youth Growth Group!
Chris oversees G3’s Youth Ministries.
Please remember all of our church leaders in prayer. These servants are unpaid and keep G3 up-and-running on a weekly basis and focused on helping us live out our mission “to help those who feel far from God come home.” If you have specific questions regarding G3, please direct your questions to the appropriate team leader.
